Makati Express Cargo Protection Plan
Introduction:
MEC offers a Cargo Protection Plan that encompasses the safe transit of your package.
Procedure:
Customers that would like to purchase the Cargo protection Plan will need to;
1.) Follow the link issued to their emails or via SMS text.
2.) Customers must declare the items (packing list) and the value of the items in transit.*
3.) Customers will be required to pay the respective amount in order to have the Cargo Protection Plan Active.
Coverage:
Makati Express Cargo Protection Plan was designed to add a layer of safety to our valued customers. This service covers most of the cargo's journey to the final mile delivery, specifically covering in-house transportation that currently accounts for most of the service.The service applies, after confirmation that the user has paid the appropriate amount and rightfully declared evidence of the content in the cargo.

Makati Express Cargo Protection Plan will cover costs of missing content from items misplaced during the in-house transportation.

Makati Express will protect declared cargo in the event of the entire misplacement of the cargo boxes, during the in-house transportation.

Makati Express Cargo Protection Plan will cover costs of damages applied from drastic weather conditions, these include; typhoons, storms, etc...

Makati Express Cargo Protection Plan will cover costs of damages applied from incredinary damage caused in Makati Express’ properties, this includes warehouses, branches and trucks.

Makati Express Cargo Protection Plan will cover costs of damages applied from the rare occasion of theft of contents within the enclosed cargo, committed by in-house Makati Express staff.

The Makati Express Cargo Protection Plan specifically covers the in-house transportation. Makati Express will not be responsible for any 3rd party damages. This includes damages and loss of the cargo whilst being transported by shipping lines such as OOCL and ONE line.

Makati Express will not be responsible for liquid damages incurred from poor practicing packages. Customers sending liquid items back that have not been appropriately stowed in a waterproof package within the cargo.

Makati Express will not be responsible for items that have not submitted the appropriate receipt for the declared items that have been damaged. Furthermore, Makati Express reserves the right to take appropriate legal action to pursue false and fraudulent claims made.

Makati Express reserves its rights to study and cross compare the final mile delivery image to ensure the validity of the claim.

Makati Express will not be responsible for customers sending other such dangerous goods that may cause damage to other items within the enclosed cargo, this include fragile items, sharp items, corrosives, explosives, etc…

Service Fee;
Makati Express will charge a flat service fee of $250 for insured items. (i.e; if the declared value of $1000 has been misplaced, Makati Protection Plan payout would be $750).
Claims:
Claims are to be filed at [email protected] . To ensure fair practice, we require the following evidences to be presented only on the cargo that have been verifiably purchased with Makati Express Cargo Protection Plan;
I. Receipts of the content in the cargo
II. Packing List of content in cargo
III. Images of the cargo that has been received by the cargo recipient (Consignee), with visible indication of damages.
IV. Shipment Declaration Form
V. Official damages declaration form
